💸 Budget-Friendly Party Ideas for a Big Night In (Boozah Style)

Budget Friendly Games Night

We all love a big night out — but let’s be honest, sometimes your wallet (and your head) need a break. The good news? A great night in can be just as fun, especially when you’ve got the right drinks, games, and mates around.

So, whether you’re saving up for Christmas or just fancy staying in your slippers, here are some budget-friendly party ideas that prove you don’t need to spend a fortune to have a Boozah-worthy night in.

🍕 1. Bring Your Own Bottle (and Snacks!)

Gone are the days of playing bartender for everyone. Make it simple — tell your mates to bring their favourite drink or a snack to share. You’ll end up with a great mix of drinks, new flavours to try, and you’ll save yourself a small fortune.

💡 Boozah tip: Turn it into a mini cocktail challenge — everyone brings one random mixer and one spirit. Mix and match to see who can create the best (or worst!) DIY drink.

🎲 2. Play Boozah Board Games

You don’t need fancy clubs or expensive bars when you’ve got a proper Boozah board to bring the fun to your table. Two of our fan favourites are:

🪜 Shots’n Ladders

Like snakes and ladders… but with a boozy twist!

How to Play:

  1. Setup: Fill the four Boozah Cups and place them on the white Boozah logos at the top of the board. Fill the six Boozah Shot Glasses and position them on the black Boozah logos along the sides.

  2. Start the Game: Each player picks a Boozah Game Piece and places it on “Start.” Roll the dice to see who goes first.

  3. Gameplay: Take turns rolling the dice and moving your piece.

    • Land on a ladder → climb up

    • Land on a snake → slide down

    • Land on a pint → take a sip

    • Land on a shot → take a shot!

  4. Winning: The first player to reach the finish wins.

Battle Shots

A Boozah spin on the classic Battleships — tactical, boozy, and brilliant.

How to Play:

  1. Setup: Each side places an agreed number of shots or drinks on any numbers of their choosing.

  2. Starting the Game: Players take turns rolling two dice.

  3. Gameplay: If the total matches a number with an opponent’s shot, they drink that shot!

  4. Special Rule: The Boozah ghost on square “1” is for doubles — if you roll a double and there’s a shot on the ghost, you must drink it.

  5. Winning: The first to clear all of their opponent’s shots takes the crown.

🕹️ 3. Explore Boozah’s Free Online Games

No board? No problem! We’ve got a free online games area ready to play anytime — perfect for spontaneous nights in, video calls with mates, or pre-drinks fun.

🎮 Check them out here: Boozah Online Games

From digital challenges to hilarious question games, it’s your pocket-sized party starter.

🍸 4. Mix Simple, Cheap Drinks

You don’t need a full bar to make great drinks. Here are three quick ideas using things you probably already have:

  • Gin + Lemonade + Fresh Lime → easy and refreshing.

  • Rum + Cola + Dash of Lime Juice → a classic with zing.

  • Vodka + Squash + Soda Water → cheap, cheerful, and surprisingly tasty.

💡 Boozah tip: Freeze leftover fruit and use it as ice — it looks fancy and saves buying mixers later.

📺 5. Add a Theme for Extra Laughs

A theme doesn’t have to mean costumes (though, why not?). Try:

  • “Dress Like Your 2000s Self”

  • “Pub Olympics” night — each round is a different Boozah game

  • “Fake Fancy” — everyone wears something over-the-top and brings a posh-sounding cocktail

Themes make even the cheapest night feel like a full event.

🎉 Final Boozah Thoughts

A budget night in doesn’t have to be boring. With a few drinks, a Boozah board, and your best mates, you can have just as much fun as a night out — for a fraction of the cost.

So grab your dice, pour your shots, and get the party started. After all, the best nights are the ones you actually remember (mostly). 😉
